5. GPS & Location Data
AGL uses your device's GPS to provide rangefinder distances, find nearby courses, and measure closest-to-pin distances. Key details about our location data practices:
- Location access is requested only when you actively use GPS-dependent features
- We do not track your location in the background or when the app is closed
- Real-time GPS coordinates during gameplay are used for distance calculations and are not permanently stored
- CTP (Closest to Pin) measurements are stored as distance values only, not raw GPS coordinates
- You can disable location services at any time through your device settings

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure session management, and hashed authentication tokens. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information and golf data for as long as your account is active. Score history, rankings, and handicap data are retained to maintain the integrity of the ranking system.
